New Goodies... Finally!

After having to take WAY too much time away from crafting, I was finally able to post some new items, a couple of custom sticks in the gorgeous "black cherry" acrylic. I love the swirly coloring of this acrylic. I think I need to save a bit for myself!

Anyway, hopefully more new goodies coming soon!!

New Limited Color Corian

I have a VERY limited supply of this teal colored corian, which is kind of a shame, since it is so pretty. This is only the second custom order I have done of this color and only have enough left for maybe a couple more. Anyhoo, here it is:

Green Leaves of Spring

Ok, so I haven't posted anything here in a while. Life has been busy lately, especially since spring is FINALLY here! Yay! And what better hair accessory for spring than pretty green leaves? Well, I finally just finished my first custom order for a fork with an oak leaf topper. I think it turned out pretty well. I can't wait to see it in my customer's hair. :)

And here is my own fork that I had previously blogged about, though now it has oxidized:

I am so relieved that I finally discovered the best way to allow the wood to oxidize to a lovely green color. This is definitely one of my favorite woods to work with. And it smells just divine!

Lignum Vitae is on the way!

Ok, cheesy title, but 'tis true! I finally finished carving the custom ginkgo fork in lignum vitae wood, which will be listed later this evening. It's a very dense, yet nice wood to work with. It smells wonderful as well. The only drawback is waiting for oxidation so the lovely green color reveals itself. This one just needs its protective coating and it will be complete!

Customs, customs!

Finished 2 more customs today. These were both a challenge, since they are longer than my standard sizes, so I wanted to make sure I got the proportions just right. I think they turned out rather well, if I do say so.

One of the customs had 5.5" prongs...

and the other a whopping 7" prongs! :)

I hope they like them! One more custom this week to go!

First Post, New Forks!

This is my first official post on this blog, so welcome to all fans, customers, friends and family. :)

I just finished a couple of forks today. One was a custom order ginkgo leaf fork. The other was a simple straight fork. Both are made from some gorgeous "evergreen" dymondwood.

I am continuing to work through my remaining 2 customs for ginkgo leaf forks in dymondwood, as well as a new request for a ginkgo in lignum vitae.

Thanks to all my awesome customers, as well as to those who support me in this. Much love.
